It's time for our Back-to-School Supply Drive!

Every year here at The River, we love to bless families in the Charles City community by providing back-packs filled with school supplies. As many of us are aware, rural Charles City is an area that has been overlooked for years and needs extra support due to higher than average poverty levels. That is why the Lord led Pastor Ron to establish The River Outreach Center (The ROC) in Charles City...to support, assist, and bring the love of Jesus to a struggling community.

Filling backpacks with school supplies is just one of the many ways we serve Charles City - and we are excited to be able to do it again this year!

Here's how YOU can help!

1. Purchase a sturdy backpack and fill it with grade appropriate school supplies and tag it with the corresponding grade level. This helps make sure kids receive all of the supplies they need to start their school year off right. You can fill multiple backpacks and choose the grade levels that you would like to donate to. Also, you can decide whether you would like to make the backpacks and supplies gender specific or gender neutral. All donations are greatly appreciated!

2. Collect general school supplies from any of the listed categories. We will be using these items as prizes for the game booth we will be setting up at the Back-to-School Fair in August. 

3. Bring all filled backpacks and supplies to The River by Sunday, August 2nd.

Join us in Charles City for the

Back-to-School Fair

This is your opportunity to meet the families that we support in Charles City and to see where your donations are going. We plan on setting up a  game booth so the kids can get a chance to win additional school supplies as prizes. We want to make a spiritual impact for the Kingdom of Heaven as well...so, we will also take time to minister to individuals and pray for people as the Holy Spirit leads us.
